Yevheniia Kucherenko, Head of the Project and Process Management Office at "Avrora", spoke at the webinar “Roles in Process Management” organized by ABPMP Ukraine.
This event was a great opportunity to share our company’s experience in building a process office, discuss the approaches we are implementing in process management, and exchange ideas with colleagues about how a clear distribution of roles in process management impacts business performance.
Yevheniia presented the current model of the process office at Avrora: how roles are currently organized, which ones are already working effectively, and which are planned for implementation in the near future. Through real-life examples from the company’s operations, she demonstrated how changes are implemented in practice, what challenges we are overcoming, and what new opportunities systematic process work opens up.
One of the key points of her presentation was the role of three professional functions in business transformation — the process analyst, the business analyst, and the project manager. Business analysts design solutions, process analysts drive efficiency, and project managers manage change. Together, these roles form a solid foundation for sustainable company growth.
Special attention was given to the importance of the roles of process owner and process manager. These individuals must be the initiators of change and the drivers of improvement. Every company has its challenges — we often hear familiar phrases like: “it’s always been this way,” “there’s no time for optimization because we’re constantly firefighting,” or “why change something that more or less works?” But only a proactive stance and readiness for change allow us to move forward. There is no magic pill — we simply need to roll up our sleeves and do the work. We shouldn’t be ashamed of what we don’t yet know, and we must commit to continuous learning. And most importantly — we must remain honest: with ourselves, with our teams, and with our processes.
We are proud of our team’s expertise and grateful for the opportunity to share our experience while also learning from the professional community.
