Trends and Challenges of 2026: A New Cybersecurity Model for Business

Systemic challenges, key trends, and a new security model for 2026 were at the heart of the author’s panel discussion “Cybersecurity Trends and Priorities 2026,” hosted by Diia City United and joined by Avrora’s IT Director, Oleh Umantsev.

The discussion focused on challenges that are no longer temporary, the key trends of the coming year, and the approaches shaping a new protection model. According to Oleh Umantsev, companies must recognize that cyber risks are not episodic — they are a constant factor in operational activity. Accordingly, the approach to managing them must be systemic.

Among the trends for 2026, experts highlighted the growing sophistication of cyberattacks and the need to shift from reactive solutions to proactive risk management. The security model of the future is built on comprehensiveness, shared responsibility at all levels, and continuous process improvement.

For us, participating in such discussions is not only an opportunity to exchange experience but also to shape our own cyber resilience strategy in line with current challenges.
