Video as a Management Tool: A Panel Discussion Featuring Dmytro Dudetskyi

Dmytro Dudetskyi, Project Manager at the Security Department of the Aurora retail chain, took part in the “Security Synergy” event, where he joined the panel discussion “Video as Infrastructure for Management and Control.” The discussion focused on how the role of video surveillance systems is evolving in large retail networks and why today they go far beyond their traditional security function.

Dmytro Dudetskyi participated in the panel alongside representatives of major retail chains and security companies. The conversation centered on the practical use of video as a management tool — from identifying issues in stores to analyzing processes and making data-driven management decisions.

During the discussion, participants agreed that for large retail networks, security is no longer just about the presence of cameras. Video is becoming a way to reduce losses, a tool for monitoring process compliance, and a source of insights for managing operational risks. Through video, companies can identify weak points in stores more quickly and respond to them systematically rather than intuitively.

Such discussions demonstrate that video infrastructure is gradually transforming into a practical tool for day-to-day network management, influencing not only the level of security but also overall business efficiency.
