On September 23, 2025, the Kyiv office of PwC in Ukraine hosted an open B2G dialogue on the topic “Digital Customs: New Tools for Business. How to Work Faster and More Efficiently?”
The event brought together representatives of the State Customs Service of Ukraine, PwC experts, and members of the business community, including the Aurora multimarket chain.
The meeting was part of PwC Ukraine’s series of events aimed at building a transparent and constructive dialogue between the state and business. “We suggest looking at customs not only as a supervisory body, but also as a partner in digital transformation. API access to customs declarations opens up new opportunities: transparency, efficiency, and flexibility in interaction with the state,” emphasized Vita Miroshnychenko, Director and Head of the Customs and International Trade practice at PwC Ukraine.
Participants discussed Ukraine’s readiness for the “Customs Visa-Free Regime” (NCTS Phase 6), the implementation of new IT tools such as the Help Desk and the Risk Profile Manager, as well as the development prospects of CDS.UA and the Single Window system. Special attention was paid to Aurora’s practical experience in customs digitalization.
“Just a few months ago, data uploads had to be done manually and consumed significant resources. But after the Customs Service opened API access in June 2025, we launched automated data exchange as early as July. This enabled us to create an integration service with our own database (over 35 tables), populate it with archival data (12,500 records), and ensure hourly updates,” noted Petro Babii, Head of the Customs Clearance and Regulation Department at Aurora.
Aurora’s experience illustrates how digital customs solutions help businesses optimize processes and increase supply chain transparency. Such state–business cooperation fosters international trade development and accelerates Ukraine’s integration into European customs practices.
