The Head of Aurora’s Process and Project Office, Yevheniia Kucherenko, once again shared her expertise at Kyiv Project Management Day — and this autumn was no exception. This time, Yevheniia immersed the audience in the topic Lean vs. Reengineering: how to save the A-Team made entirely of Accountables, highlighting a common trap many companies face.
RACI matrices often turn into action-movie plots: plenty of people are formally accountable for results, yet no one is truly responsible for execution. As a consequence, projects stall, budgets evaporate, and executors seem to operate somewhere in a “parallel universe.” Yevheniia emphasized that the solution isn’t to search for new “hero-saviors,” but to correctly leverage the resources already within the organization. Lean helps free up time and hands through optimization, while reengineering allows companies to rethink processes from the ground up, removing the unnecessary and creating a new, efficient operational reality. Together, these approaches enable teams to deliver projects effectively and without chaos.
The audience responded with genuine enthusiasm, actively discussing real cases and practical insights. Meanwhile, Aurora’s Process and Project Office team returned from the event energized with fresh ideas and methods they are already eager to apply in everyday project management.
