What does corporate recreation look like when you work for a company that promotes a healthy lifestyle?
Of course, it can only be active!At Avrora, we even have a special name for it — "movement among friends."
And in 2021, Avrora discovered the perfect place for such energetic gatherings — Chykalivka – the Quarry of Emotions.
This former granite quarry has now become a popular rock climbing area, offering a unique blend of adventure, nature, and fun for everyone seeking an active and lively experience.

On July 17–18, Avrora employees decided to combine a getaway in a scenic location with a variety of activities.
They set up a tent camp, cooked meals over an open fire, and sang songs around the campfire.
Even the unpredictable weather — from scorching heat to sudden downpours — couldn't dampen the spirit; instead, it added even more adventure, emotions, and memories.
During the summer weekend at Chykalivka, Avrora employees managed to:
- try rock climbing and other sports activities;
- go on an extreme quarry tour;
- paddleboard on SUP boards;
- sunbathe and swim in crystal-clear, warm waters;
- admire the landscapes and take amazing photos;
- socialize, laugh, and sing heartily;
- and feast on delicious field-cooked porridge.
The event's activities were organized with the help of our partners — the rock climbing instructors from the "Chykalivka – Quarry of Emotions" project and the SUP Relax Poltava rental service.
The getaway at Chykalivka left such a strong and positive impression on everyone that, on September 12, Avrora employees returned to the quarry for the "Granite Cup 2.0" climbing festival.
The festival was held for the second time, and this year, Avrora not only became a partner of the event but also an active participant (at an amateur level, of course).
Through this event, the organizers are developing and popularizing rock climbing in the Poltava region.
The location is ideal — just 150 kilometers from Poltava, climbers have the opportunity to climb on natural rock formations at Chykalivka.
The quarry now features almost a hundred climbing routes equipped for both top-rope and lead climbing.
During the festival, everyone had the chance to try an easy climbing route under the supervision of experienced instructors and to enjoy the last warmth of summer in an incredibly beautiful setting.
The quarry features a clear emerald-tinted lake, and the climbing sectors are connected by a trail offering stunning views.
Thus, the Granite Cup was not only about two days of climbing on 40 different routes but also about relaxing among friends and like-minded people.
And Avrora employees are already looking forward to returning to Chykalivka for a new portion of unforgettable emotions!
