Aurora Invests in Logistics and Opens New 7,000+ m² Distribution Center in Stoyanka.
Aurora continues to invest in strengthening its logistics infrastructure with the opening of a new distribution center exceeding 7,000 square meters in Stoyanka, Kyiv region. This milestone marks the first phase of a large-scale investment project aimed at restoring the West Gate Logistic complex, which suffered damage during enemy shelling.
At the initial stage, the new facility will serve 150 stores in Kyiv and the Kyiv region, with plans to expand that number to 250 retail locations in the coming months. This move will significantly boost delivery efficiency and help optimize logistics costs across the network.
“Our principle is that goods must arrive in stores every two days. Opening this distribution center will reduce transportation costs and accelerate the delivery process. Additionally, we plan to create around 200 new jobs immediately after launch.”
— Olena Tsymbalysta, Logistics Director at Aurora multimarket chain
“In times of war, we understand how vital it is to invest in Ukraine’s future, create new jobs, and contribute through taxes. These investments not only support our network’s growth but also help strengthen economic stability in the regions where we operate. We are confident that such steps will create new opportunities for local communities and contribute to job creation,”
— Lesia Klymenko, Co-founder and CFO of Aurora
Aurora is also working on expanding its other logistics facilities. By the end of February 2025, the company will complete the scale-up of its Lviv distribution center, moving from 9,000 m² to 20,000 m², to meet the growing demand across western Ukraine.
This expansion reflects Aurora’s commitment to sustainable development, resilient infrastructure, and supporting Ukraine’s recovery and economic growth.
