Aurora: Achievements in 2023 and Plans for 2024

In 2023, the Aurora retail chain paid over 3.2 billion UAH in taxes and fees to budgets at all levels.

In 2023, the Aurora retail chain paid over 3.2 billion UAH in taxes and fees to budgets at all levels. This represents a significant contribution to the national economy and direct support for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Despite the challenges of the current environment, Aurora continued to grow and expand its presence:

Over 460 new stores were opened across Ukraine in 2023;

6 new stores were launched in Romania.

Additionally, the company invested more than 700 million UAH in business development, including the launch of new distribution centers and the expansion of operations. These developments stimulated job creation and increased average wages. Today, Aurora employees earn an average monthly salary of 20,500 UAH, which is among the highest in the discount retail sector in Ukraine.

In 2023, Aurora successfully underwent an audit conducted by one of the Big Four accounting firms, demonstrating top ethical business standards within its segment. The company also focused on supporting Ukrainian businesses by fostering local manufacturers. As of 2023, over 400 Ukrainian producers were selling their products through Aurora’s network, with a combined turnover exceeding 10 billion UAH.

Aurora also contributed more than 155 million UAH to charitable initiatives in 2023, including:

124 million UAH — to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine;

20 million UAH — for community support programs;

6 million UAH — for educational projects;

5 million UAH — for hospitals.

Looking ahead, Aurora aims to continue its growth by supporting Ukrainian manufacturers and expanding its operations in Ukraine, Romania, and other EU countries. The company plans to invest more than 500 million UAH into the Ukrainian economy, creating over 3,500 new jobs.

Among its non-financial goals, Aurora is committed to enhancing the inclusivity of its stores and facilities, while also transforming its workplace environment to become veteran-friendly, following best global practices.
