Aurora, in collaboration with the public organization "Zemlyachky," has successfully completed a charitable campaign to raise funds for winter uniforms for women service members.

From December 9, 2024, to January 15, 2025, Aurora, together with the public organization “Zemlyachky,” carried out a charitable campaign that raised an impressive 10 million UAH to provide winter uniforms for 1,140 women serving in Ukraine’s Defense Forces.
As part of the campaign, 5% of the value of New Year’s merchandise sold in Aurora stores was automatically allocated toward purchasing winter gear for women in the military. This approach allowed every customer to contribute to supporting the army through everyday purchases.
A special highlight of the initiative was a promotional video featuring combat medic Inna Korolenko, callsign “Korolok,” performing the legendary Ukrainian carol “Shchedryk.” The melody symbolically connects her childhood memories with her present life on the front lines, reminding viewers that the war has touched every Ukrainian family.
Ksenia Drahaniuk, co-founder of Zemlyachky, emphasized the urgency of the initiative:
“While the official women’s uniform is still under review by Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense, winter goes on — the eleventh winter of the war. There are 70,000 women serving in the Defense Forces, 10,000 of whom are deployed in active combat zones and in urgent need of high-quality uniforms to perform their duties.”
A defender with the callsign Sova, serving in a special unit of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, also stressed the importance of specialized women’s uniforms:
“For me, this uniform isn’t just comfortable — it allows me to stay mobile, which is absolutely critical during casualty evacuations.”
Every hryvnia raised through this initiative is a step toward creating more comfortable and practical conditions for the women defending Ukraine on the front lines.
