More than 115,000 UAH was donated by participants of Aurora’s charity online run for the Day of the Cossacks

In support of the “Cossacks and Aurora” initiative and as part of the campaign to raise 3,000,000 UAH for drones for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a charity online run was held from October 7 to November 7, 2022. Anyone could take part—children and adults alike, experienced athletes or those who had never run before. The distance, route, date, time, and location of the run were all up to each participant to choose for themselves.

As part of the “Cossacks and Aurora” campaign and the effort to raise 3,000,000 UAH for drones for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a charity online run took place from October 7 to November 7, 2022. Anyone could participate—children or adults, experienced runners or complete beginners. Each participant was free to choose the distance, route, date, time, and location of their run.

To take part, participants had to register and donate at least 350 UAH to the “Come Back Alive” foundation. After completing their chosen distance, they received a starter box containing a themed medal and gifts from the event’s partners. In total, 309 participants joined the run.

“When I saw information about Aurora’s charity online run on social media, I had no doubts about whether to participate. Of course I would! Firstly, the goal of the event deeply resonated with me. Raising funds for drones for the Armed Forces is incredibly relevant. A transparent and simple donation process is crucial—it only takes a few minutes and you already feel proud to be contributing to a worthy cause. Secondly, the starter box with lots of useful goodies from the event’s partners was a big motivator. Unpacking it made me feel like a lucky winner. And thirdly, my running friends from 'Running Club Poltava' and I simply love running and earning medals—which the organizers also thoughtfully included. Thanks to Aurora for the chance to be involved in this charitable initiative, and of course, for the great vibes!” shared Olga Bodak from Poltava.

“It was a great run, a beautiful idea! It was a pleasure to be part of this charitable project and make our contribution. Wishing us all peaceful skies and victory!” added Oksana Pakholka from Novomykolaivka, Zaporizhzhia region.

By the way, the run had a wide reach—participants joined in from 87 localities.

“I took part in the run to support our Armed Forces and contribute to the drone fundraiser with the 'Come Back Alive' foundation. It was a great opportunity to join a charity event for the Day of the Cossacks, the Feast of the Intercession, and in honor of our defenders. The starter box themed ‘The Cossack Line Will Never Die’ was packed with sponsor gifts and a cool medal. Thank you for supporting our Armed Forces!” said Oleh Kos from Khmelnytskyi.

The online format made it possible for not only residents of Ukraine but also those living abroad to participate.

“Aurora’s run for the Day of the Cossacks was amazing! You keep yourself in shape, support our troops, and get a great box full of treats. It’s like hitting three birds with one stone. An awesome experience if you've been wanting to try something new,” shared Yelyzaveta Nechayeva, who completed her run in Warsaw.
