In December, together with the public organization Zemliachky, we summed up the results of the charitable project “My Native Christmas,” aimed at supporting women serving in the military. Within the framework of this initiative, UAH 10,000,000 was raised. All funds have already been allocated to the production of winter military uniforms for women defending Ukraine as part of the Defense Forces.
The project ran from December 1 to December 31, 2025, across all Aurora stores and on avrora.ua. During this period, 5% of sales of New Year’s products were directed toward providing female service members with specialized winter uniforms adapted to women’s anatomy and real service conditions. As a result of the campaign, 870 sets of high-quality winter women’s uniforms were ordered and will soon be distributed free of charge to women serving in the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
The Zemliachky tactical uniform set is designed in accordance with U.S. and NATO standards, taking into account the needs of women on the front line. Its production uses durable NYCO Ripstop fabric, Slimtex insulation combined with premium fleece, and Cordura 500D reinforcements. The uniform features thoughtful functionality—from nine pockets and an adjustable hood to internal drawstrings designed to fit body armor. It is warm, reliable, and built to withstand harsh combat conditions.
The idea behind “My Native Christmas” was inspired by the stories of Ukrainian women in the military—those who, even on the front lines, preserve traditions and small symbols of home that provide inner strength. We sought to connect the festive atmosphere of the rear with the reality of frontline service, where warmth and high-quality equipment are critical.
“For us at Aurora, this initiative is about responsibility and sustainable support. The result of 10 million hryvnias became possible thanks to our customers, who made charity part of their everyday choices. We are glad that together with Zemliachky we can provide systematic support to the women who are defending the country today,”
— says Polina Lendel, Brand Director of the Aurora multimarket chain.
“This is already the fourth winter in which, together with Aurora, we have been providing women on the front lines with winter uniforms designed specifically for female service members. This is not about comfort—it is about safety, health, and effectiveness in combat conditions. Thanks to this partnership, we are able to systematically address hundreds of requests from frontline positions,”
— adds Kseniia Drahaniuk, co-founder of Zemliachky.
Today, more than 70,000 women serve in the Ukrainian military, and a significant number of them still lack uniforms adapted to women’s anatomy. That is why it is crucial for us to continue long-term partnerships that provide real support to those defending the country—especially during the winter period.
