The fundraising platform UNITED24 and monobank, together with Ukrainian volunteers Serhii Sternenko and Ihor Lachenkov, have launched a campaign to raise funds for 35 Sea Baby naval drones. This marks the first public fundraiser for the legendary Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) boats that successfully struck the Crimean Bridge and nine Russian military vessels.

Supporters who donate from 100 UAH will have a chance to win one of 35 exclusive mono+aurora cards, each preloaded with 100,000 UAH. Those who donate 1,000 UAH or more can compete for a 1,000,000 UAH card courtesy of Aurora Multimarket, a long-time partner of UNITED24.

In 2022, Ukraine became the first country in the world to develop a fleet of naval drones. These small, fast unmanned surface vessels quickly changed the course of maritime operations. Thanks to their effectiveness, Russia is increasingly losing warships and has been forced to move them farther away from Ukrainian shores.

The Sea Baby is an unmanned surface strike drone developed by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU). Between 2022 and 2023, Sea Baby drones successfully targeted the frigates Admiral Makarov and Admiral Essen, the minesweeper Ivan Golubets, the patrol ship Ladny, missile carriers Samum and Buyan, the naval tug Professor Nikolay Muru, the reconnaissance vessel Vladimir Kozytskyi, and the military ship Pavel Derzhavin. Most famously, a Sea Baby drone was used to strike the Crimean Bridge, once touted by Russia as “indestructible.”
 

Each Sea Baby drone costs 8.5 million UAH. It can carry 850 kilograms of explosives, reach speeds of 90 km/h, and travel distances up to 1,000 kilometers. Its stealth hull is made of radar-resistant materials.

UNITED24, monobank, Sternenko, and Lachenkov are raising funds to acquire 35 such drones. Contributors who donate the full 8.5 million UAH for one drone will have the opportunity to name it.

In total, 36 mono+aurora cards will be raffled among donors:

35 cards with 100,000 UAH each — for donations of 100 UAH and above

1 card with 1,000,000 UAH — for donations of 1,000 UAH and above
