On August 21, 2024, Aurora finalized the acquisition of a property complex near Kyiv that previously belonged to the Dragon Capital group of companies.
The complex includes a 14.42-hectare land plot, approximately 7,000 square meters of office and warehouse space, and a 90,000-square-meter building that was destroyed during the war.

Aurora Co-Founder Taras Panasenko commented on the acquisition:
“This is a strategically important step for our company. We plan to restore the damaged warehouse in two phases.
In the first phase, we aim to rebuild approximately 45,000 square meters, including integrated shelters, by the end of 2025. The second phase is expected to be completed by the end of 2026, adding another 45,000 square meters, also with built-in shelters, ready for operation.”
The decision to acquire this particular site was driven by its alignment with Aurora’s requirements in terms of size and location.
“Restoring this facility is not only economically sound but also symbolic — a symbol of resilience and recovery.”
The reconstruction and launch of the warehouse will allow the company to expand its retail network, maintain affordable prices, create new jobs, support the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and generate substantial tax contributions to the national budget.
Tomas Fiala, CEO of Dragon Capital, also emphasized the importance of the deal:
“The sale of the West Gate Logistic complex is a landmark event for the Ukrainian logistics real estate market. We’re pleased to see our cooperation with Aurora continue to grow.”
Legal support for the transaction was provided by Arzinger.
Other terms of the deal remain confidential.
