Aurora received the Grand Prix “Leadership in Equal Opportunities 2025” at Women Leaders for Ukraine

The Aurora multimarket chain has received the Grand Prix — the main National Award “Leadership in Equal Opportunities” 2025. The award on stage was accepted by Inna Boychuk, Aurora’s Director of Corporate Affairs. The event took place on November 20 in Kyiv as part of the “Leadership in Equal Opportunities” conference, which brought together more than 250 leaders who are shaping a new management culture in Ukraine.

Throughout the event, participants discussed what matters most: how to build an environment where decisions are driven by competence rather than bias; why inclusivity has become a key factor in organizational resilience during the war; and how the role of women in society is evolving. The war has reshaped many processes and sectors, and today women are taking on responsibilities in areas once considered “male.” Ukraine is quickly advancing in value-driven issues, and it is crucial not to fall behind global shifts. The home front today has a female face — and this role is fundamentally important for the country’s resilience.

Companies shared practices that are already changing the rules of the game: flexible work formats, support for young mothers, fair opportunities for development and pay, educational programs, and transparent career pathways. Against this backdrop, the jury awarded the Grand Prix to Aurora for its comprehensive, practical — rather than declarative — approach to equal opportunities, its systematic work with inclusive practices, and its culture of respect that is evident not in documents but in everyday interactions.

This initiative is a step toward a new leadership culture — one where equal opportunities are the norm, not the exception. At the same time, it is recognition of the daily work of the entire Aurora team, which fosters an environment of growth, support, integrity, and openness.

We sincerely thank our PR, CSR, and C&B teams for their joint work on the competition application, as well as everyone who contributes every day to building a culture of equal opportunities within the company. This is our shared achievement and an important milestone on the path toward a mature, responsible, and inclusive corporate culture.
