This year, Aurora made its debut in the First League of the Poltava Region Football Championship. At the time of applying, the team had no particular ambitions of winning the tournament—they simply aimed to compete at a higher level and gain valuable experience.

The start of the season wasn’t easy. The team lost key points in the tournament table early on. However, a series of successful games followed, and Aurora ultimately secured 2nd place in their group. In the playoff matches for a spot in the final, our players faced FC Myrhorod—and won convincingly with a combined score of 8:3 over two matches.

Then came the final, where the opponent was a strong team—FC Karlivka. Aurora had previously lost two matches to them during the season. So the final wasn’t easy either: in addition to regular time, there were two overtimes. But our team showed true character and defeated their rivals with a score of 2:1.

This is how Aurora’s challenging yet triumphant journey unfolded in their debut season in the Poltava Region Championship. And that made the victory even sweeter and the experience all the more valuable.
