In December 2025, the Avrora multi-market chain opened another sorting center — this time in Vinnytsia. In less than two months, local residents collected 1 ton and 923 kg of waste for recycling, ranging from paper and plastic to polyethylene packaging and paper cups. The new center has become another step in the company’s systematic implementation of its environmental strategy and the promotion of responsible consumption in Ukrainian regions.
At Avrora, the team believes that businesses should take environmental responsibility and help others do the same. Caring for the environment is not a one-time initiative but a long-term strategy that requires consistency and community engagement. That is why the company is developing its environmental responsibility project, Avrora Green, which fosters a culture of conscious consumption and brings together everyone who cares about sustainability. As part of the project, Avrora opens its own sorting points, initiates educational programs, and promotes environmental awareness among Ukrainians.
The Vinnytsia center accepts more than 25 types of recyclable materials, including paper, glass, metal, various types of plastic, bags, stretch film, batteries, and other materials. In addition, the sorting point accepts certain types of waste that require special environmentally safe incineration. Visitors can receive консультацію on proper sorting directly at the center or via the project’s Instagram page. Since its opening, 394 city residents have joined the initiative, contributing to waste reduction efforts.
All collected recyclables are transferred to recycling partners to be turned into new useful products. This approach not only reduces the amount of waste sent to landfills but also supports the development of the recycling industry, small and medium-sized businesses, and the economy as a whole. The opening of the sorting center in Vinnytsia demonstrates how joint efforts by business and the community can create real environmental impact today.
