The Aurora multimarket chain won the national competition “Responsible Country 4.0” — taking victories in several categories at once.
In the “Responsible Business and ESG” category, Aurora’s corporate blood donation initiative was recognized. This is no longer an occasional activity, but a living part of the company’s internal culture. Donor Days are held regularly, and a community has formed around them — people for whom helping others is simply the norm. As of 2025, there are 925 donors in the database and 1,259 donations made. In potential impact, that’s over 3,800 lives saved. Together with the NGO “Blood Agents,” the team is also working to make blood donation in Ukraine more understandable and accessible to a wider audience.
Another win came in the “Environmental Protection” category with the Avrora Green project. It’s a story about small actions that, at scale, create tangible results. Sorting centers in Poltava and Vinnytsia, waste collection boxes in every store, over 3.2 million batteries collected — alongside continuous efforts to explain “why this matters.” Educational campaigns, excursions, and practical solutions for communities and businesses all contribute to gradually shaping a new norm of interaction with the environment.
The competition itself brought together over 70 projects that showcase what corporate social responsibility looks like in Ukraine today. And an important detail — the winners were chosen not only by experts, but also by people. Anyone could vote for the initiatives they truly found valuable. So for Aurora, this victory is not just about recognition, but about trust.
