Avrora became a co-organizer of the Poltava Outdoor Weekend festival, which took place on July 4 under the open sky in Pryrichkovyi Park.
The event featured seven zones of active recreation:Water,Hiking & Biking,Ethnotourism & Local History,Tourist Orienteering,Nordic Walking, and Create Your Own Park.
The Avrora Sport zone showcased the company’s community initiatives and invited visitors to join a plogging activity.
Participants registered, received a trash bag, and returned with collected waste from the park.
For their efforts, they received a thermal mug and joined a raffle for outdoor gear from Avrora’s multimarket assortment.
"The main idea here isn’t about speed — it’s about participation. We reward everyone who takes part.
This activity came to us from Sweden, and we’re actively promoting it.It’s a combination of running and cleaning — you simply run with a trash bag and pick up any litter you see along the way,"
explained Artem Pavlov, co-organizer of the festival and representative of Avrora, in an interview with the “Central” TV channel.
Festival visitors also tried a new form of eco-activity — plogging on SUP boards.
This water-based cleanup allowed participants to remove litter from areas of the river that are inaccessible from land.
The group collected an impressive “catch,” mainly consisting of plastic bottles floating on the water.
Thus, Poltava Outdoor Weekend became a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the outdoors, learn something new, and contribute to keeping Pryrichkovyi Park clean and beautiful.
