On December 3, UN Women in Ukraine, with the support of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, held the Women's Economic Empowerment Congress (WEE Congress) to promote responsible Eurointegration and the recovery of Ukraine.

This year, the WEE Congress brought together over 120 representatives from the government, business associations, private companies, public institutions, local governments, international development partners, and civil society organizations. The event explored ways to implement gender-responsive approaches in policies and practices, as well as leading initiatives to promote women’s rights and economic opportunities, including the Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs), in the context of russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
Inna Boichuk, Director of Stakeholder Engagement and Strategic Communications, participated in the conference to share Aurora’s experience in promoting gender equality and empowering women.
At the beginning of 2024, Aurora became a WEPs signatory, reaffirming the success of its existing initiatives and providing a foundation for forming strategic goals and actions to advance women’s empowerment and gender equality in the coming years.
Among the successful cases Inna highlighted were the children’s room at the Poltava Support Office, adjusted work shifts at distribution centers in Vinnytsia and Poltava, the “16 Days Against Violence” communication campaign, the employee trust line, and much more.
