Aurora has been included in Forbes’ Top 30 Employers for Veterans. This recognition highlights the company’s systematic efforts to create comfortable working conditions for those who have served, as well as supporting their adaptation to civilian life.
Today, the Aurora team already includes 106 veterans. Initially, the company’s CSR managers led this work, but since July 2025, the initiative has been headed by Chief Veterans Officer Mykhailo Onufer. He has established direct communication with every veteran at the company and created a dedicated community group to quickly share information and gather feedback. The key principle of Aurora’s veteran policy is “peer to peer.”
Aurora guarantees job security, positions, and salaries for employees currently in active service. Upon their return, veterans receive mentoring support, opportunities for retraining, psychological counseling, as well as funding for treatment and rehabilitation. The company also covers education and professional development costs, with veterans able to temporarily transition into intermediate positions during this process.
Forbes recognized Aurora for its comprehensive veteran support strategy and for creating the pioneering management role of Chief Veterans Officer — an innovation for the Ukrainian labor market. “This role is not just ‘nice to have’ — in today’s environment, it’s a must-have,” emphasized company co-owner Taras Panasenko.
Aurora’s inclusion in Forbes’ ranking is an important confirmation that business can be a true partner in building a safe and promising future for Ukraine’s defenders.
