At the beginning of August, Kyiv hosted the traditional sports event for veterans “Kyiv Unbroken”, organized by the Ukrainian Strongman Federation together with the Kyiv City Department of Youth and Sports and supported by partners, including Aurora. The event lasted two days – August 2–3, 2025 – and became a vivid example of social rehabilitation through sport, as well as the promotion of adaptive disciplines among veterans and service members.
On August 2, participants competed in various sports disciplines, demonstrating not only physical endurance but also the resilience of spirit. For many years in a row, these competitions have motivated new athletes to join the movement and inspired organizers to continue developing support programs through sport. The next day, August 3, “Kyiv Unbroken” brought together two groups of participants – military and athletes. They tested themselves in strongman events across different weight categories, as well as in team rowing among men’s, women’s, and mixed teams. The day was filled with intense competition and bright victories, turning the tournament into a true celebration of sport for everyone present.
The series of sports events continued with the All-Ukrainian Ranking Tournament “Victory of the Unconquered”, which took place on August 17 in the city of Ladyzhyn with the support of the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine and the Ladyzhyn City Council. This was the final tournament of the season, where participants had the opportunity to earn qualifying points for the National Selection, held at the Bukovel tourist complex on September 5–7, 2025.
The competitions in Kyiv and Ladyzhyn once again proved that sport for veterans is not only a path to new achievements but also a powerful tool of social adaptation, support, and inspiration. Every performance on the stage or arena is a living story of resilience written by our Heroes.
