In Vinnytsia, rescuers conducted training at the Aurora distribution center.

More than 40 rescuers and 8 units of equipment were involved today in a fire suppression training exercise, conducted with the support of the "Aurora" company, which provided its logistics center for the drills.

Fortunately, the fire was only simulated, as firefighters from the State Emergency Service (SES) units of the regional center were honing their professional skills. According to the scenario, a short circuit occurred on the mezzanine of one of the warehouse premises. Thanks to the timely detection of the ignition and a modern alarm system, all employees evacuated to a safe distance before the SES units arrived.

Emergency responders positioned forces and equipment from four different sides to swiftly localize the simulated fire. One firefighter, using an articulated lift, directed a water stream to cool the roof of the building, which is equipped with solar panels.

These drills are not just elements of training but a real step toward mastering emergency response. They prepare SES personnel for any challenge and enhance their readiness for real-life incidents.

Special attention was given to testing the skills of gas and smoke protection units, as they bear the critical responsibility of saving lives. During such exercises, every movement is practiced to the point of automation, which can be decisive in critical moments when every second counts.

The head of the training, Andrii Babkin, head of the emergency response department of the regional agency, noted that all units operated in a coordinated and efficient manner, demonstrating a high level of preparedness.

At the conclusion of the training, the rescue teams demonstrated how to extinguish a fire at an early stage using a fire extinguisher and explained the proper response protocol for employees of the facility in the event of a real fire.
