The first national “Family for Every Child. Better Care Awards” ceremony took place in Kyiv — an event created to honor those who transform children’s lives in Ukraine every day. Our country celebrated individuals, organizations, communities, and businesses that develop projects, policies, and initiatives aimed at ensuring every child grows up surrounded by care, love, and the warmth of a family. Established in 2025, this national award recognizes leaders who drive change in safeguarding every child’s right to grow up in a family environment. The ceremony traditionally takes place on November 20 — World Children’s Day — so that on this date the stories of those shaping the future of Ukraine’s children can be heard.
The Better Care Awards acknowledge people — parents, social workers, volunteers, community leaders, and opinion leaders — as well as initiatives and organizations implementing social change; communities and regions that foster safe, child-friendly environments; and businesses that invest in supporting families with children and in expanding opportunities for the younger generation.
Among those honored was Taras Panasenko, CEO of Aurora, who received special recognition for supporting the ceremony with gifts for the awardees and, importantly, for Aurora’s systemic work in helping children and teenagers. Aurora consistently invests in children’s education, development, and future — a reflection of our values and long-term social mission. In his speech, Taras Panasenko noted:
“Aurora’s mission is to make people’s lives happier — and that includes children. While our soldiers, women and men, are fighting for our freedom on the frontline, our mission is to ensure a happy upbringing and a happy childhood for Ukraine’s children.”
Supporting initiatives like this is a confident step toward a future where every child has a family, care, and the opportunities needed for their development. And it is through the combined efforts of the state, communities, businesses, and compassionate people that we build a country where children feel protected and loved every single day.
