“My Native Christmas”: Avrora and the NGO “Zemlyachky” Aim to Raise UAH 10 Million to Produce Winter Uniforms for Women Defenders

Our retail chain Avrora and the NGO Zemlyachky are launching a joint charitable initiative to support women in the Armed Forces. The goal is to raise UAH 10 million for the production of specialized winter uniforms tailored for Ukrainian servicewomen.

As part of the “My Native Christmas” campaign, 5% of all New Year product sales at Avrora will be directed toward sewing winter uniforms for women serving in Ukraine’s Defense Forces. Anyone willing can join the initiative. The campaign will run from December 1 to December 31, 2025, in all Avrora stores and on avrora.ua.

The idea behind “My Native Christmas” is built around the story of Ukrainian women soldiers who, despite exhaustion and the frontline routine, create Christmas where no one expects it — in a tent after a long shift.

At the center of the story is a servicewoman who carefully brings Ukrainian Christmas traditions to life for her fellow servicewomen. These traditions give a sense of home even in the harshest conditions. The heroines decorate their tent and share moments that take them back home — to familiar voices, the scent of a Christmas tree, and carols that have always united families.

That is why every item from Avrora’s Christmas collection is more than just a decoration. It is a small symbol of gratitude, support, and warmth that connects homes in the rear with tents and dugouts on the frontline.

“For us at Avrora, this initiative is about the strength, traditions, and warmth of Ukrainian Christmas. Each item in our holiday collection becomes a small symbol of home and comfort — and at the same time, a real contribution to caring for the women who protect this home. Our campaign with the NGO Zemlyachky is another way to unite the holiday spirit in the rear with those who are bringing our victory closer on the frontline,”
— said Polina Lendel, Brand Director of the "Avrora multimarket".

More than 70,000 women serve in the Ukrainian Armed Forces today, and many of them are still not provided with uniforms adapted to female anatomy and real service conditions. Therefore, Avrora is uniting its customers around an important mission — to supply women defenders with comfortable and functional winter gear that is critical for performing their duties in challenging environments.

“This is already the fourth winter that we, together with Avrora, are providing women on the frontline with winter uniforms designed specifically for servicewomen. It’s about safety, efficiency, and the health of women defenders in combat conditions. Thanks to our partnership with Avrora, we can consistently fulfill hundreds of requests from frontline units, and I am sincerely grateful to everyone who joins this initiative. This is what true joint work for victory looks like,”
— said Kseniia Drahanliuk, Co-founder of the NGO Zemlyachky.

Each winter uniform set will be provided free of charge to women serving in Ukraine’s Defense Forces.

The “My Native Christmas” campaign is an opportunity for everyone to contribute to an important cause. All raised funds will support the women who defend our country today, and every purchased holiday item will connect families in the rear with those spending Christmas on the frontline.

The Avrora retail chain, together with the NGO Zemlyachky, continues its ongoing support of women defenders, for whom warmth, care, and quality gear are daily necessities.
