Career Path of Stanislav Derkach, Head of Category Managers for the "Textile" Direction.

Stanislav's journey at Aurora began with a managerial position in the support office. However, he wasn’t afraid to challenge himself by trying a completely different field. Thanks to his efforts, he now leads the category managers in the "Textile" direction.

How did you start your journey with Aurora?

I had worked in the showbiz industry my entire life and later decided to build a more "serious" career. I initially considered several large companies and sent out my resume. Aurora was the first to respond. I was invited to an initial interview, but the vacancy didn’t suit me, so I declined. A few months later, they called me back and informed me about a new vacancy that matched my skills — "Head of the Corporate Culture Department."

What motivated you to continue climbing the career ladder?

With the onset of the war, my position became less relevant to the company because celebrations and gifts were no longer a priority. I was offered a transition to the commercial department.

What challenges did you face throughout your career journey?

I had never worked with calculations, figures, or various software, so it was challenging and required developing hard skills. To address this, I benefited from the company’s support for training on external platforms and free education at the internal training center. I completed courses in category management and Excel.

Do you currently consider positions in other departments?

At the moment, I am satisfied with my position and department, so no.

What advice would you give to those who want to grow and develop at Aurora?

Learn and grow as a professional, as the company provides all the opportunities for this. Be brave and don't be afraid of change.
