Career Path of Hanna Prykhodchenko, Operations Leader of the NS Department

Hanna has been working at the company for 11 years. She began her career path right after returning from maternity leave, and over this time has become more than just a valuable specialist — she is an integral part of the team. Hanna jokes that her son grew up together with “Aurora” — both are turning 14 this year.

Neither having a young child nor working remotely became obstacles on her path to a successful career.

How did your journey at Aurora begin?

My journey started quite unexpectedly. At that time, I was living in Dnipro, had only a little experience in HR, and didn’t fully understand what it was yet. By education, I worked at a geological exploration company, but I was eager for change.

I was hired as a Promoter Supervisor in the Marketing Department. Later, an analysis of the direction’s effectiveness was conducted, which showed that the costs of promoters were not justified, as sales were not increasing. This became a trigger for change.

I moved to the position of Advertising Specialist and started organizing “Darts” campaigns across the country. That was when I learned how to communicate with people and coordinate work remotely — for example, organizing a campaign in Sumy while being in Dnipro.

Later, the first vacancy for a Recruitment and Training Manager in Dnipro appeared, and it became a real challenge for me. HR was something I had dreamed about, so I eagerly embraced this opportunity.

Can it be said that you were an office-based employee from the very beginning?

For the first five years, I worked remotely. At the start, for about 2.5 years, I was essentially “in the field” — working in a store.

When the first training offices appeared, I had the opportunity to work from an office, though not in Poltava, but in my region. I shared the company’s corporate values and stayed actively involved in my department’s processes online, regularly traveling to the head office for training. My manager always supported me, and despite the remote format, I felt like a true part of the team.

What motivated you to keep moving forward in your career?

I have always felt that HR is my calling. I once took tests that showed I was a natural HR professional, even though at the time I didn’t fully understand what those two letters meant. 😊

I enjoy opening up new opportunities for people and helping them unlock their potential. There is something truly magical and inspiring about it.

What challenges did you face along your career path?

The biggest challenge was the desire to take on everything at once. I have always been very responsible in my work and strive to do my absolute best.

Over time, I learned how to prioritize effectively, which helped me overcome challenges more efficiently and achieve better results.

Have you ever considered working for other companies?

Such thoughts have come up as part of reflecting on my career. After all, it would be unusual if a person with experience and ambition had no interest at all in opportunities at other companies.

However, after working at Aurora for over 11 years, I realize that this company has become more than just a place of work for me.

What advice would you give to those who want to grow and develop at Aurora?

It’s important to understand how exactly you want to grow. Do you want to become an expert, a professional in your field, or are you aiming for a leadership position? It’s worth taking an interest in the processes around you, staying curious and open to new things, choosing what you enjoy, and continuously learning.

At Aurora, there are now plenty of opportunities and directions for developing your talents, even the chance to work in Romania. If you need guidance, you can always reach out to recruiters — they’ll be happy to advise you.

Complete the sentence: For me, “Aurora” is…

A place that has provided all the resources and opportunities to realize my potential, grow as an expert and professional, and achieve success in the field of HR.
