Think globally – act locally

As part of the launch of the "Youth Will Change Ukraine – Poltava Region" educational program, supported by Avrora, Kristina Hawrylyshyn, President of the Bohdan Hawrylyshyn Family Foundation, visited Poltava.

Taking advantage of this opportunity, we invited Kristina Hawrylyshyn to our Support Office, where she gave a lecture titled "Corporate Responsibility: The European Experience" for everyone interested.
The lecture was followed by an engaging Q&A session.
Afterward, we conducted a tour of our office and presented Avrora’s CSR strategy.

The next day, at the Poltava Regional Museum, the official launch of the "Youth Will Change Ukraine – Poltava Region" program took place, welcoming 60 participants.

Our company is proud to be the main partner and sponsor of the program for the second year in a row, supporting community development and investing in the future — in young people, their ideas, and their projects.

"We believe that if we unite ordinary people — without favoritism or special connections — and give them the opportunity to 'dream boldly,' as Bohdan Hawrylyshyn said, then together we will succeed.
We want to see communities flourish in the Poltava region, entrepreneurs emerge, and new producers appear.
We hope that soon their goods will be supplied to Avrora's network, and we will proudly see at least 75% of Ukrainian-made products on our shelves,"emphasized Lev Zhidenko,Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Avrora retail chain, at the opening ceremony.

The opening event also featured a speech by Taras Panasenko, CEO of Avrora Multimarket.

The training continued the following day in smaller groups through three local development schools held in Myrhorod, Pyriatyn, and the village of Petrivka in Chutivskyi district.
These locations were selected based on votes by local residents, who thus earned the right to host the program in their communities.

Two Avrora employees also successfully passed the selection to participate in the "Youth Will Change Ukraine – Poltava Region" program.

"This initiative is crucial for Ukraine’s future.I decided to join because I feel I have the strength to make a difference in Ukraine,"said Yevhenii Rochev, an Avrora employee.
"The community is amazing, very positive participants.I passed the selection with a project idea for an 'open weekend space,' where parents and children can come together and create something with their own hands."

"This project makes you think about things that were previously outside of your focus. My key goal in participating is to meet proactive, caring people who want to drive change,"added Hanna Prykhodchenko.

Over the course of a month, participants will continue their training sessions at local schools, develop and implement their own ideas, and have the opportunity to receive funding for further project realization or join a delegation to one of seven European countries to gain international experience.
