Career path of Valeriia Kravchenko, Rental Service Manager

How did your journey with Aurora begin?

It was my second year at university, summer — staying at home was boring, and I wanted to earn my own money. I saw a job ad on a store door and called. I was hired at one of the largest stores near the market.

I really enjoyed merchandising and arranging products. Overall, I worked in the store for 8 months. Back then, there were no strict planograms, so we were like artists in the store — redoing displays 20 times until they looked just right.

Did you consider roles at the Support Office?

Yes, while I was still working as an administrator, I interviewed for a dispatcher position. I didn’t get the job — and I’m actually grateful for that! I’m happy everything turned out the way it did.

Do you have plans to continue growing in your career?

No, absolutely not. I’ve been in this department for 6 years, and I have no desire to change it. In the Rental Service Department, I work with people — and that means constant new challenges and interesting stories 🙂

What advice would you give to those who want to grow at Aurora?

If you want to grow — and I don’t even mean just career-wise, but to discover a new version of yourself — stop being afraid. Try! Yes, it will be hard. There will be a lot of new things, a lot of challenges, and an adaptation period… but it’s worth it. Movement is an opportunity to grow beyond yourself.

Find someone who wants and can support you, and find that support within yourself too. Listen to yourself — if you feel that you have the strength and that “the moment has come,” go for it. You can do it!

Finish the sentence: For me, Aurora is…

A motivator. I joined when there were 46 stores, and now there are over 1,100 — even internationally. It’s a perfect example of how powerfully you can grow.
