Career Path of Yuliia Storozhenko, Head of HC Marketing Department

Starting as a corporate trainer, Yuliia navigated challenges, setbacks, and new opportunities to become a marketer. Her journey highlights the importance of overcoming fears, believing in oneself, and seizing every opportunity for growth.

How did you start your journey with Aurora?
Aurora entered my life when I was returning from working in Poland. A friend suggested I try submitting my resume to Aurora for the position of a corporate trainer. To apply, I needed to create a video business card about myself and submit my resume. I recorded the video in four languages, attended the interview – and I got the job.

What motivated you to continue climbing the career ladder?
I returned to my corporate trainer position after a year of maternity leave. At that time, a vacancy for the head of the training center opened up. I submitted my resume but didn't pass the interview – of course, I was upset. Later, a vacancy for an NS marketer position appeared. I was encouraged to try, and I realized that this was exactly what I wanted. Becoming a marketer was my dream. I have the relevant education, but I was always afraid to try, thinking I didn’t know enough yet. However, I still submitted my resume, and I was immediately chosen for the position.

What challenges did you face throughout your career journey?

Firstly, it was difficult for me to communicate with many people and conduct training sessions because I’m an introvert =) As an NS marketer, it was challenging to understand my place in this area since I had to independently determine how to work and organize the direction of progress.

Do you consider positions in other departments?

Right now, I know for sure that I want to work in marketing, so I am not considering other departments.

What advice would you give to those who want to grow and develop at Aurora?

My advice is to do what scares you. If you’re afraid to take on a new project – take it! Afraid to write a resume – definitely write it. Don’t dwell on rejections and failures, as they are opportunities to grow beyond yourself. Without taking action, you can’t develop anywhere, regardless of the company.

Продовж речення: для мене Аврора – це…

Дім. У моїй професії неможливо будувати бренд роботодавця, якщо ти не любиш місце, де працюєш. Тому для мене це другий дім. Знайомі звички, люди, цінності, місія.
