Although Anzhela's journey with the company began as a side job, it has now extended into her 10th year of fruitful work. Over this time, thanks to her ambition, determination, and constant thirst for learning, she has earned the position of Head of the Department.
How did you start your journey with Aurora?
Right before my birthday, I was looking for some part-time work. I thought: I’ll join Aurora, work for a little while, and that’s it. I took an application form, filled it out, and just as I was about to drop it into the box, Alina Chalenko, the store’s manager, came out and immediately took me for an interview. I remember walking into the stockroom and seeing mountains of goods – the store was 100 sq.m., but I never thought there would be so many products in Aurora!

What motivated you to climb further up the career ladder?
Achieving certain goals of mine. I worked as a salesperson for a month, and within that month, I was promoted to assistant administrator. Over the next month, I mastered all the processes and skills of an administrator and moved into that position. Throughout this time, I constantly felt supported by TM and RM. For me, going to work felt like a celebration. We had organized all the processes at the store so well that everything ran like clockwork. Because of this, I often helped out at nearby stores. I was then offered to try myself as a TM, and feeling supported, I agreed.
I enjoyed arranging displays in stores, ensuring everything was neat and tidy. This caught the attention of the merchandising department, and they invited me to join their team.
What challenges did you face on your career journey?
There were many new processes and things I didn’t understand. Learning came easily to me, but when you start from scratch, it takes a lot of time to master everything. I am very grateful to my colleagues from the office: I could easily approach them, ask questions, and they always helped me figure everything out. Even now, it’s the same: if you know who to ask, you approach them, ask your question, and they’ll help you.
Have you considered positions in the support office?
Yes, I have considered it because it’s a great opportunity for professional growth and provides a deeper understanding of the company’s internal processes.

What advice would you give to those who want to grow at Aurora?
For those who want to grow at Aurora, I would advise being proactive, constantly improving their skills, and not being afraid to take on responsibility. It’s very important to show interest in all aspects of the company’s activities and to be open to new opportunities and feedback. Growth here depends not only on what you already know but also on your willingness to learn and help others.
